Using Herbal Medicine during Pregnancy, Labor/Birth, Postpartum & Breastfeeding, and Early Childhood
Meet the “gentle giants” of the plant kingdom and use them to maintain/boost health, treat ailments and imbalances, to repair and promote growth, and lift your spirits with herbal medicine that be used safely and effectively for moms, dads/partners, babies/children and the whole family with this class. You’ll enjoy teas and samples of herbal therapies while learning about using herbs safely during the many phases of pregnancy, labor/birth, postpartum & breastfeeding, and early childhood. Class(es) are ideal for perinatal professional, parents (to-be), partners and anyone interested – from beginners to expert herbalists.
You can take the whole series or just the classes you want.
Class One
Pregnancy & Birth
You will learn about:
- Herbal support for common discomforts of pregnancy
- Herbs to avoid during pregnancy
- Herbal and dietary suggestions for preparing for labor and during labor/birth.
- Supporting the birth partner(s) – herbs for the whole support team.
Length: 2 hours

Class Two
Postpartum Mom & Family Care
You will learn about:
- Herbs aiding the post-birth recovery time – sitz baths teas, and tinctures etc.
- Food for the new mom (0-10 days and beyond) and birth partner(s)
- Remedies to support lactation and breast health
- Placental food medicine
- Mind-body comfort herbal therapies

Class Three
Baby and child-friendly herbs
You will learn about:
- Safe and effective herbal remedies for babies and children
- Dosage and sources of herbal medicines
- Treating common ailments of infancy and childhood
2 hours
Cost: $90 Students will walk away from the class(es) with resources, articles, samples of teas and other herbal remedies, and a comprehensive understanding of the many uses of herbal medicine during the perinatal time.
